Fees & Rebates

I aim to be clear and transparent about fees so people can make informed decisions about accessing support.

Individual Appointments

Our fee is $200 per session, with an initial fee of $220 for the first session. If you have a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session. This rebate applies for six sessions initially, and with a further referral from your GP, a total of up to ten sessions per calendar year.

Payments

Payment is required prior to each session. A secure payment link will be sent to you by SMS or email on the day of your appointment, allowing payment to be made in advance via Tyro Health, a widely used and secure payment system for Australian healthcare providers. If you have a current GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, your Medicare rebate will be processed and returned to you by Medicare in the usual way.

Group Programs

From time to time, I offer structured group programs, including skills-based and therapeutic groups.

Some group psychological therapy services may be eligible for Medicare rebates when accessed with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan. Fees and rebate arrangements for group programs vary depending on the program structure and Medicare requirements.

Details about group fees, rebates, and availability will be provided when programs are scheduled.

WorkCover (NSW Workers Compensation)

I am approved to provide psychological treatment services within the NSW workers compensation scheme. Treatment requires an appropriate referral and approval, and sessions are invoiced in accordance with scheme requirements.

If you are unsure whether the necessary approvals are in place, this can be clarified prior to your first appointment.

Private Fees and Health Insurance

I am not registered with private health insurers. Clients wishing to use private health insurance should check directly with their fund, noting that private health rebates generally apply to non-Medicare services.

Cancellations

We understand that circumstances can change, and we will always endeavour to be flexible where possible. At the same time, missed or late-cancelled appointments limit our ability to oEer timely care to others.

To balance flexibility with the sustainability of the service, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

  • Appointments not attended without notice may incur the full session fee.

  • Medicare rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.

Where cancellations become frequent, this will be discussed with you and your psychologist so that we can consider whether adjustments to appointment frequency or scheduling would be helpful.
